Dance
with Nature Workshops
'Dance with Nature' is a workshop inspired
by Butoh transformational dance (transforming into an animal, into a growing
tree, dancing the birth of a bud as well as the shedding of the last leaf...)
taking place outdoors in the nature.
Dancing with the mud, moss, roots of trees, streams, stars and the moon.
Dancing-drawing the lines of our passage in the sand or the water.
The workshop is an empowering, inspiring and transformative experience
- listening, dancing and playing with the natural elements and letting
one's body and imagination be moved by them.
Let's get out of the house!
No previous experience or skills needed, just a
curiosity in discovering new sensations, moving, listening and playing
with nature and with your
feelings ;-)
Mud Bra making Workshop

Since
Glastonbury Festival,Celine occasionaly turns into The
Mud Bra Girl, a character dressed with the empress' new
clothes.. all decorated in mud. Whenever she's danced and played around wearing her mud bra, people have expressed how much they liked to see someone who looked like she was dressed but in fact she wasn't! However much people would love to, she has noticed they are a little shy to join in... |
So that's why the Mud Bra Girl runs MUD BRA WORKSHOPS in
festivals, just before a great concert, so a group of people comes and decorates
themselves
with the most fashionable handmade mud bras, stockings and tops to go dance as
a group to a great band.
A sexy, creative and freeing experience for the workshop
participants and the festival goers who get to dance with them!
Celine's background
Celine
trained at Dartington College of Arts in Devised Theatre, Site Specific
Dance-Theatre and researched Jungian Active Imagination since 2003.
She studied at SNDO (Amsterdam School for New Dance Development)
in Body
Mind Centering, Improvisation and New Dance in 2005. She trained in 2006-7
in Berlin with the Butoh Masters Yuko Kaseki, Imre Thormann and Yumiko
Yoshioka.
She uses a unique mix of techniques she has learnt including Open Theatre
(Nancy Gabor), Butoh and Action Theatre (Sten Rudstrom) with The Solvents
Collective's creative ways of working and her spontaneous response to
places and workshop participants.
She is a director within The Solvents Collective, and facilitates the
generation of personal and creative material by giving tasks and playing
with sites. She has taught after hour classes at Battersea Arts Center,
London, ran workshops in Dartington College of Arts and Sophiensaele
in Berlin. She has run workshops in 'Dance with Nature'
at festivals this Summer (the Buddhafield festival and the Big Green
Gathering)
